UNDIMMED: On the sets of Aparajito

The Ray Quiz, held on December 8, 2006, at Gorky Sadan, Calcutta, proved to be a huge hit. Organised by Ekhon Satyajit (a quarterly magazine), the first and the second prizes were won by students of journalism and mass communication, Calcutta University. The questions were based on the films of Satyajit Ray. Ray’s son Sandip Ray was among those who graced the occasion. What made the evening more memorable was that some of Ray’s associates like editor Dulal Dutta and cameraman Soumendu Roy narrated interesting anecdotes about him. The occasion also marked the completion of 50 years of Ray’s masterpiece, Aparajito.
