Elderly rescued from fire trap

A six-storey building near Kalighat Metro station caught fire for the second time in five months on Sunday, leaving several elderly residents trapped for up to 20 minutes before a security guard and some others braved smoke to evacuate them, including a 94-year-old man who had to be carried down.
