New Delhi, Aug. 27: India has lost another case against the US at WTO as the body ruled that India's domestic content requirements under its solar power programme were inconsistent with the international norms. India will now appeal against the ruling of WTO's dispute panel in the next two months, an official said. In June this year, India lost a case when the WTO ruled that the Indian ban on import of poultry meat, eggs and live pigs from the US was inconsistent with the global norms.

Sebi panel

New Delhi, Aug. 27: Sebi has reconstituted its takeover panel, which looks into the applications seeking exemption from the mandatory open offer that an acquirer needs to make to minority shareholders. The panel will now be chaired by Justice N.K. Sodhi, the former Chief Justice of the high courts of Karnataka and Kerala.

CCI approval

New Delhi, Aug. 27: The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has cleared the proposed Rs 750-crore multi-tier merger deal between Future Group and Bharti Retail. The transaction will create a Rs 15,000-crore behemoth. The deal was announced in May.

R-Com tie-up

Mumbai, Aug. 27: Reliance Communications today tied up with the Silicon Valley-based Jasper to provide Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, starting with the companies belonging to R-Com.
