Purnea, April 27: Kumud Mishra, the mother of Rupam Pathak, appeared in the court of chief judicial magistrate (CJM) Daya Lal Prasad today, in Purnea MLA Rajkishore Keshari’s murder case.

The CJM recorded the statements of Kumud, who was also the witness in the earlier rape case registered by Rupam last May.

Kumud recounted the story of the sexual abuse on Rupam, the prime accused in the murder case. The CJM fixed the next date of hearing on May 26.

Kumud told the court she came to know about the rape from Rupam over the phone.
