Patna, Nov. 30: RJD leader Lalu Prasad and his son, deputy chief minister Tejaswi, will soon be blogging.
After his debut in the Assembly, on the first day of the winter session, Tejaswi said: "I'll start blogging from December 9. I will share my views on issues like roads, water, education, health and others that involve people." RJD chief Lalu, too, would blog soon, he said.
He was speaking at his new office, where former deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi sat once.
On Sunday, Tejaswi posted something on his Facebook page, titled " Dil ki baat (talk from the heart)" as against Prime Minister Narendra Modi's radio programme Mann ki baat (talk from the mind). Tejaswi criticised Opposition leaders, saying they used every tactic to demoralise the Grand Alliance during the polls.
Around 10.30am, Tejaswi and his elder brother, health minister Tej Pratap, reached the Assembly in the same car, belonging to the road construction department that Tejaswi heads. With them was Lalu's trusted aide and Bahadurpur MLA Bhola Yadav, who led them to pro-tem Speaker Sadanand Singh's chamber.
Around 10.45am, chief minister Nitish Kumar arrived and then former chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi. New members wanted to enter the chamber but the Assembly watch and ward staff stopped them. Around 10.55am, the bell rang and everyone proceeded to the House. Nitish occupied a seat on the first row of the treasury bench. Beside Nitish sat Tejaswi and next to him, Tej Pratap.
After the Assembly was adjourned, Tejaswi went to his chamber. Tej Pratap accompanied him, sat for five minutes and then left.
Asked about his first day, Tejaswi said: "The last time I was here, I sat in the Speaker's gallery as an audience. Today I sat next to the chief minister. But we did not get to interact with others, as the House was adjourned because an MLA (RLSP's Basant Kumar) died."
Many RJD MLAs presented Tejaswi bouquets and Assembly staff greeted him. Minority welfare minister Abdul Gafoor came with an application for a ministerial bungalow. Tejaswi, also the building construction minister, told him he would decide after a meeting of the allotment committee.
When art, culture and youth affairs minister Shiv Chandra Ram arrived, Tejaswi asked him: "Are you doing something for the cricket stadium?" Shiv Chandra said: "Yes, we will build a big stadium in Rajgir and renovate Moinul Haque stadium. I've decided to build a stadium in every block."
Around 11.35am, Tejaswi was told Basant Kumar's body had arrived and he left to offer floral tributes.
