Shivanand Tiwari, the JD(U)’s Rajya Sabha MP, on Sunday claimed that Sushil Kumar Modi was telling a “bunch of lies” about his involvement in the fodder scam.
On Saturday, Modi alleged that chief minister Nitish Kumar and Tiwari had taken money from fodder scam accused late Shyam Bihari Sinha.
Tiwari said: “Modi, who I know since he used to wear shorts, is a habitual liar. I am into politics for the past 45 years and people know it that I even sold my house for my daughter’s marriage. Modi is the same person who used to talk about Nitish as Prime Minister so that he could take the chief minister’s chair.”
The CBI will file an affidavit in Jharkhand High Court on November 22, as the court asked to explain its position on Nitish, Tiwari and Rajiv Ranjan alias Lallan Singh in the fodder scam case.
Asked whether he had taken money from Sinha as alleged by Modi, Tiwari said: “I do not need to tell this to any liar. I will clear my stand in the court. I am not answerable to any Modi, who just tells lies. I do not understand why Modi is in a hurry.”
Tiwari also said one should not lose patience and should wait for the right time. “It is the nature of RSS people to tell lies. Once Modi had alleged that my son made Rs 200 crore in a railway contract.”
