The state BJP on Tuesday took a jibe at chief minister Nitish Kumar, saying he had "lost his grip on the administration".
It was visible in the recent Intermediate topper scam as neither the state education department nor the Bihar School Examination Board had taken consent from Nitish before constituting separate committees, Sushil said.
On Sunday, the education department and the board constituted two separate committees for probing the Intermediate topper scam. While the education department committee comprised officials from education department, the board's was a judicial committee headed by Patna High Court retired Justice Ghanshyam Prasad. However, 24 hours after constitution of the committees, the government dissolved the both.
Sushil, on the sidelines of his weekly janata durbar, said: "Nitish's alertness in the scam reflects from the point that a week after the scam, the chief minister dissolved both the committees."
He also demanded action against board chairman Lalkeshwar Prasad Singh, saying the delay in chief minister's jumping on the issue reflects that the government is trying to save board officials and Vishun Roy College, Bhagwanpur, administration.
