Health camps focus

Patna: Chief minister Nitish Kumar will inaugurate Jan Swasthya Chetna Yatra at Gandhi Maidan in the state capital on January 28. ealth minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey on Tuesday said focus at the camps would be to create awareness about health cards scheme, population stabilisation, malnutrition, kala-azar and blindness control among the new generation.

Body found

Patna: Alamganj police on Tuesday found the decomposed body of a middle-aged person from the Mahavir Ghat area. The police said man could have been killed somewhere else and later dumped at the ghat. It has been sent for a post-mortem at Nalanda Medical College and Hospital.

Renovation

Patna: Divisional commissioner K.P. Ramaiah on Tuesday ordered officials of building construction, electricity and public health and engineering departments to complete the renovation and beautification work of SK Memorial Hall by January 31.

Man shot

Patna: A middle-aged person was on Tuesday shot at by some men near the Meethapur Ghat area over an alleged land conflict. He later succumbed to his injuries at the Patna Medical College and Hospital.

Bail

Patna: CBI special judge V.K. Srivastava on Tuesday granted regular bail to former assistant commercial manager, Danapur rail division, Himanshu Kumar as CBI failed to file the chargesheet on time.

Patna: BSEB on Tuesday launched a help desk number — 9430807821 — for lodging electricity bill related complaints in the state capital, board spokesman H.R. Pandey said.
