Counter to PIL sought

Patna: A division bench of justices S.K. Katriar and A. Amanullah of the high court on Friday directed both central and state governments to file their respective counter affidavits in response to a PIL seeking direction to start road construction under Pradhan Mantri Grameen Sadak Yojana.

Caught

Patna: Vigilance investigation bureau caught Pankaj Kumar, a block development officer of Aurai in Muzaffarpur, red-handed while taking a bribe on Friday.

Bus accident

Patna: Six people died and over two dozen were injured when a bus overturned near Kumari Chowk in Sitamarhi on Friday.
