Patna, March 15: Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has nominated Nirmalya Ghosal as the chairman of Bihar state council at its annual meet today for a term of three years.
Ghosal will replace the outgoing chairman Satyajit Singh.
During the meet, attended by almost all the members of Bihar state council along with the regional director of CII eastern region Saugata Mukerjee, Amit Saraogi, was elected the vice-chairman.
Ghosal is holding the position of a branch manager, ITC Limited, while Saraogi is the managing director of Anmol Feeds Limited, producing aqua and poultry feeds at Muzaffarpur.
CII has also organised a discussion on “Union Budget: an Analysis” where the speakers which prominently included Nirmallya Ghosal, Neeraj Aggarwal and others who dealt at length apprising of certain nuances of the budget.
Outlining his priorities after taking over the reins of Bihar state council, Ghosal said the CII has been playing an important role in promoting key areas like agriculture, skill development and food processing.
