Patna, Nov. 24: Former city central superintendent of police (SP) Shivdeep Lande’s official mobile number — 94318-22969 — has been deactivated.
People can now call on the official mobile number of Patna city (SP) (west) Upendra Sharma — 9473400335 — with their grievances.
Lande’s mobile number had become a rage among the people during his tenure .
“His mobile was never switched off and he used to receive more than 60 calls on an average daily. The day he was transferred, he received more than 150 missed calls. The number will surely be missed,” a police officer said.
The state police headquarters today bifurcated the resposiblitiy under Patna central zone. The charge of Kotwali division has been given to Sharma while the town and sadar divisions charge is with Patna city SP (east) Kim.
Sharma has also been given the additional charge of SP (traffic). He has 13 police stations under his jurisdiction, including Danapur, Rupaspur, Khagaul, Shahpur, Akilpur, Fulwari, Beur, Janipur, Sachivalaya, Shastrinagar, SK Puri, Gardanibagh and Airport. He now will also have to look after Kotwali, Patliputra, Digha, Rajiv Nagar, Patliputra, Danapur, Buddha Colony and Patliputra police stations.
Kim has 10 police stations under her jurisdiction, which includes Sultanganj, Bahadurpur, Agamkuan, Alamganj, Khajekala, Mehendiganj, Chowk, Malsalami, Bypass and Didarganj.
In addition, Gandhi Maidan, Kadamkuan, Pirbhore, Kankerbagh, Jakkanpur, Patrakar Nagar, Parsa Bazaar, Gaurichak, Gopalpur and Ram Krishna Nagar police stations have been added.
