Samastipur, March 12: A 50-year-old advocate allegedly shot himself in his Kafhilpur house under Town police station late last evening.

Police found a licensed revolver, loaded with five cartridges, and a pellet from the spot.

The man, identified as Ajay Kumar Singh, hailed from Shambhupatti under Muffasil police station and practised at Samastipur district court.

Radheyshayam Prasad, the station house officer of Town police station, said: “It appears that Singh was suffering from depression since his daughter committed suicide three years ago.”
