Patna, Aug. 17: Bhojpuri star and Bollywood actor Ravi Kissen has decided to sue the producer-director of his upcoming film Chitkabrey for retaining a nude scene of the actor without his consent. The scene, much to Kissen’s surprise, has reached cellphones of college students as an MMS.
The film directed by Canada-based Suneet Arora is slated to hit theatres on August 26.
Taking strong exception to the release of the scene, Kissen said: “I am not going to sit quietly on this. I was told that the nude scene would be deleted from the film before it hits theatres. Now, I have come to know that the scene has become a part of an MMS and college students are watching it. This is an intrusion in my personal life. It is disappointing that he has betrayed me and for this I am going to sue him. The director has to pay a big price for such cheap publicity. I am a professional and I don’t mind doing such scenes but it does not go with my personality.”
When The Telegraph asked Kissen why he did the scene if it was objectionable, he said: “The scene was shot on a trial basis and it was nothing serious. But later, I realised that it’s not good to have such scenes in the film and asked the director not to add it. But he did not do that and it’s a part of the film now.”
When contacted over phone, Arora said: “In the scene, Kissen is shown being ragged by some rich college students. The more he argues, the more he is tortured and finally stripped naked. He did not raise any objection while doing the scene and was very comfortable doing it. If he wants to sue me, let him do it. The particular scene is at the centre of the film and even the censor board has cleared it. I am ready to face legal action but I am not going to cut the scene from my movie. What is wrong with it? It is very much a part of our society and is a regular affair in many colleges.”
