MK Verma, regional director, Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Bihar and Jharkhand, and (right) UK Singh, director-general, Indian Institute of Business Management (IIBM), at a financial literacy programme on the institution’s campus in Patna on Thursday. The central bank organised a financial literacy and awareness programme for students of the management institute. Verma addressed 250 postgraduate diploma students at the event. He spoke on the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, basic savings bank deposit accounts, payment system, clean note policy, currency management and banking facilities aimed at financial inclusion and literacy of the common man. He also spoke on the precautions to be taken before investing in non-banking financial companies.
