| A devotee prays at Takht Sri Harmandir Sahib gurdwara to mark the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak in Patna City on Thursday. The Sikh community celebrated Nanak Jayanti with much fervour and devotion. The gurdwara organised a kavi durbar on the occasion in which devotees performed bhajan and kirtan. A langar was also organised in which around 10,000 people savoured prasad. RS Jeet, senior vice-president, temple management committee, Takht Sri Harmandir Sahib, said: “Nanak Jayanti is a big festival of the Sikh community. Many devotees have come from different parts of Punjab and they are staying at the guesthouse of the gurdwara. People from all sections of society, irrespective of their caste, sat together and ate prasad at the langar. A procession was also organised, which started from Guru ka Bagh and culminated at Takht Sri Harmandir Sahib gurdwara. The procession was followed by kirtan.
