Patna, Jan. 18: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel, Amrendra Singh, is running from pillar to post to get the murderers of his brother booked.
Singh, a resident of Chorkuppa village under Rafiganj police station in Aurangabad district, turned up before deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi today at his janata darbar.
Singh told the deputy chief minister that his brother Parsuram Singh was killed by seven persons at his native village on June 5, 2010. Singh claimed the incident took place before him and he was an eyewitness. “But all the accused are still at large,” he told Modi.
He said he met the police officials right from the police station to the director-general of police, but in vain. “The whole family has to live under constant threat from the accused,” he told the deputy chief minister.
Modi immediately spoke to the Aurangabad superintendent of police Vivek Raj Singh and directed him to take appropriate action in the case. He also asked the police chief to provide security to the family, if required.
When contacted, the superintendent of police said one of the accused had already been arrested. “Instructions have already been given to the investigating officer to arrest the remaining accused,” he said, adding the process of attachment of the property of the absconders would start soon. “The people involved in the incident have already been identified,” he added.
