Board exam pre-test in Nov

The Bihar Madhyamik Shikshak Sangh (Bihar Secondary Teachers’ Association), acting on the directions of the education department and the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), has announced the dates for the pre-board examination for candidates of the 2019 matriculation and Intermediate examinations.

Bihar Madhyamik Shikshak Sangh, which is a body representing secondary and higher secondary school teachers, has been holding pre-board examinations for the past four decades. According to the examination schedule announced by Shikshak Sangh, the pre-board matriculation examination will be held from November 20 to 24. The pre-board Intermediate test will be held from November 1 to 6.

Bihar Madhyamik Sikshak Sangh spokesperson Abhishek Kumar said: “As the pre-board examination is approved by the education department and the BSEB, students who qualify in the test will be eligible to appear in the matriculation and Intermediate exams, which will be held in February/March next year.”

Abhishek added: “The Shikshak Sangh has started the preparations for holding the sent-up test. The question paper for the Intermediate exam will be provided to respective schools by October 28, while the question paper for matriculation will be provided to all schools by November 17 so that there is no delay in holding the examinations.”

Each test paper will be of three hours’ duration and will comprise both objective and subjective questions. The pre-board test will be based on the pattern of matriculation and Intermediate examination papers. Fifty per cent questions in both the examinations will be objective, while the rest will be subjective. The exam will be held in two sittings with students getting 15 minutes to read the question papers.

The Intermediate test, which will be held from November 1, will start with the chemistry paper for science students, in the second sitting, political science papers will be held. Arts and commerce students will take the economics paper in the first seating on the same day, while commerce students will appear for the business studies paper in the second half.

Similarly, matriculation examines will take the English paper in the first half on the first day of their exams, which is November 20, while in the second half, they will take the social science paper.

The matriculation and Intermediate examination will be held in February. However, the BSEB is yet to announce the examination schedule.

The process of online form filling for Intermediate and matriculation examination has been completed. From October 14 to 25, the board will issue dummy admit cards. Respective school principals will provide the dummy admit card to students after downloading it from the BSEB website.
