Over 20 people, including 13 minors, were admitted to a hospital on Wednesday after they complained of food poisoning.

Police said the victims were residents of the Malpur area in Patna.

Rajesh Kumar, father of six-year-old Ratindra said the boy complained of vomiting and diarrhoea after eating meat during a puja. Similar complaints were made by the parents of 12 other children.

A medical officer at the Malpur primary health centre said 21 people, including 13 children, five women and three men, have been admitted to the hospital. Their condition was stated to be stable.
