Children dressed as birds and animals danced and sang in their ‘Fancy Forest’ during the 58th Founder’s Day celebrations of Higgins School last month. The programme was dedicated to the founder of the school, Helen Beatrice Higgins, and her motto: “Knowledge is for all.” Around 230 students participated in the musical event organised to mark the occasion. The teachers also joined in to sing a song. The school boasts many renowned ex-students, including Nobel laureate Amartya Sen, actress Konkona Sensharma and filmmaker Sandip Ray.
