A tale of two countries

Diana Mickeviciene, senior diplomat, ministry of foreign affairs; Arvind Sukhani, honorary consul of Lithuania; Jawhar Sircar, former CEO, Prasar Bharati; Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi; ambassador of Lithuania Laimonas Talat-Kelpsa and Probal Dasgupta, professor of linguistics, Calcutta University, release the book India & Lithuania: A Personal Bond at a bookstore on Monday to mark the 25th anniversary of Indo-Lithuanian diplomatic relations.

The book is a collection of essays on three Lithuanians - Wilhelm Storostas-Vydunas, Antanas Poska and Hermann Kallenbach - who contributed to bringing the two countries together. The launch was followed by a discussion and the screening of a documentary titled Lithuanian Columbuses in India. (Bishwarup Dutta)
