“Shooting this film pushed me to my limits, mentally and physically. Since the subject was sensitive, it was all the more necessary to be accurate in my representation of the situations. We set out to make an entertaining commercial film on a taboo subject, which we did. I liked the story that was narrated to me by the lead writer of the film, Sanjib Banerji. Absurd as it may sound, while he was narrating a very serious script to me, I was laughing my heart out because I could only see the absurd and bizarre rationality that the human psyche possesses. I’m fascinated with the human brain. The unpredictable nature of it. The part that makes humans the deadliest species alive. I think my actors knew they were in for a wild ride. While we didn’t have the luxury of time for workshops, we indulged in a lot of discussions. Each and every actor in the film surrendered to the moment completely. The film works because my actors surrendered fully to an experience,” said director Sunny Ray.

“My experience was fabulous. Sunny is an extremely clear-headed director. We already knew what we wanted to do with the character. A lot of discussions had gone into the portrayal of Tirtho Talukdar. From the inclusion of his sunscreen obsession to the tonality in which the character speaks.
It’s different from every other cop role that I’ve played before and vice versa. The challenge here was to approach the investigative style differently. The quirky mannerisms, specifically, were the key points,” said Judhajit Sarkar.

“The cast and crew were great and easy to work with. Saurav Das’s intensity towards the part is applaud-worthy. Rupsa Chatterjee was easy and fun to work with. We laughed a lot in between the scenes,” said Anangsha Biswas. “My director helped me immensely in the prep. I had to keep in mind the balance of temperament and the character graph,” said Sumana Das.

“It was challenging bringing out the body language of an ageing, conservative, worried parent of an angsty young working woman and then going through the paces of a psychotic, brutal murder. We had a fantastic ensemble cast and to my mind, Sunny is one of the sharpest makers of his batch of directors,” said Rana Basu Thakur.
