Mumbai/Margao: Title aspirants Sporting Clube de Goa were held by United SC to a 2-2 draw in a 17th round I-League match, played at Nehru stadium in Margao Friday.

Sporting Clube de Goa, who enjoyed greater ball possession in the first half, took the lead in the 16th minute through Nathaniel Amos whose shot from a Wilton Gomes pass deflected off a rival defender to find the far post.

United SC showed a lot of urgency in the second half, equalising in the 48th minute through Denson Devadas.

They took the lead in the 77th minute through S. Muritala, but Sporting equalised in the 85th minute.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, Mumbai FC will look to hang on to their fifth place on the league table as they take on Air India at home.
