BCCI president Sourav Ganguly reached Mumbai on Friday night for its virtual special general meeting which he will preside over from the Cricket Centre around Saturday noon.

The meeting will decide the BCCI’s blueprint for the T20 World Cup, the resumption of IPL in the UAE and the payment process for the domestic cricketers, among other issues.

As already reported by The Telegraph, the BCCI has drawn up plans to resume the IPL in the window between September 15 and October 15. The members will be informed about the availability of foreign players and the logistics and challenges that led to hosting it in the UAE.

“Though BCCI will seek time before taking a final call on the T20 World Cup, the contingency plans for venues will be discussed,” a source said.

Sources said the Board has earmarked four venues in Maharashtra with the semi-finals and final in Ahmedabad.

The BCCI, meanwhile, has referred the representation of Hyderabad Cricket Association to its legal cell after two factions — one led by HCA president Mohammed Azharuddin and the other by Shivlal Yadav — staked claim to attend the SGM.
