Anushka took to Instagram to congratulate her husband, Virat, adding that their 21-month-old daughter Vamika will one day understand why her mother was “dancing around and screaming wildly” in the room. “... One day she will understand that her dad played his best innings that night which followed after a phase that was tough on him but he came out of it stronger and wiser than ever before!”
Former India captain Sourav Ganguly, who recently lost the chair of the BCCI president, said: “The innings he played today proved he’s an all-time great. He may not have been getting a century, but as a batsman, he’s simply fantastic.”
AB de Villiers tweeted that Virat's knock was “the best of the best”, while according to Virender Sehwag, “this is probably the most brilliantT20 Innings I have ever seen”.Shah Rukh Khan, too, was awestruck. “So brilliant to see@imVkohli batting….and so inspiring to see him cry and smile,” he tweeted.
