Angkrish Raghuvanshi has focused on remaining fearless in the IPL, undaunted in the face of some of the biggest names in international cricket.
The 21-year-old made his debut in 2024. Now, in his third season with the Kolkata Knight Riders, Raghuvanshi certainly comes across as someone to bank on. It was evident in his innings of 51 in the Knight Riders’ season opener against Mumbai Indians on Sunday, even after he had managed only 21 off his first 16 balls at the Wankhede.
His immediate goal now is just to maintain the intensity.
“My goals are simple. I don’t look at the kind of match that’s there. I try to play every match with the same intensity, give my 100 per cent and in every match I play, I just try to do my best for the team and try to make the team win.
“Even in this tournament, my goal is to see what the team demands from me and just try and make the team win,” Raghuvanshi said, opening up on his IPL journey on the JioHotstar show, Dream On.
On what he has learnt from KKR principal owner Shah Rukh Khan, he said: “Everyone Shah Rukh Sir talks to, he makes them feel so important. So, even after achieving so much, if one’s so humble, then I think everyone in the world should be humble. That’s what I have learnt from Shah Rukh Sir.”
