Kingston: His legendary sprinting ability won him a gold medal at the London 2012 Olympic Games. But Jamaican athlete Usain Bolt is also a world-beater when it comes to hosting noisy parties, according to his neighbours on the Caribbean island.

Jodi 'Jinx' Stewart-Henriques, a model who lives next door to Bolt in an upmarket housing complex in Kingston, has complained about loud all-night revelry at the runner's house since she moved to the area two years ago.

In comments on Facebook reported by Mailonline, she said: "Between the bikes, loud, horrid music, parties and screams, I honestly wish he would go back to where he came from. He's a horrible neighbour. He takes his nasty behaviour with him everywhere. He's the ultimate party clown."

Another resident branded Bolt "the neighbour from hell", adding: "He has parties which start in the afternoon and go on until 3am, 4am, whatever he chooses. This is a nice neighbourhood but he has shattered the calm."

Others, though, told the newspaper that Bolt had not been at the house for weeks and was not to blame for the loud party last weekend that prompted Ms Stewart-Henriques outburst.

Jamaica's police commissioner, Carl Williams, said: "Police are aware of these complaints and have done something about it. I cannot say exactly what has been done, but it is possible that we have spoken to Mr Bolt. As far as I am concerned, the matter has been dealt with."

Bolt did not comment.

Stewart Henriques, who is married to rapper Sean Paul, has since posted another message on Facebook, apologising for "highly inappropriate" comments made about Bolt.

"My intention was never to degrade or disrespect anyone but without realising, I did," she wrote. "I allowed pent-up frustration to get the better of me and did not conduct myself in a respectful manner.

"Although I am and have been frustrated by the disturbances, I should have dealt with this in a private and more civil manner. My intentions are to speak with Usain, discuss this regrettable incident and personally apologise."

In August last year, Bolt was reported to be partying all night in London, starting with dinner in Fitzrovia and on to some of London's hottest watering holes, before turning up at a South London dentist's surgery at 10am. He was seen partying at several locations, leaving celebrity haunt Mahiki with two female friends at 3am, before making their way to members club Raffles in Chelsea.

The sprinter was the life of the party, posing for selfies with staff and guests and even jumping in behind the bar at the Dover Street tiki club, making cocktails for his friends.

Georgi Radev, manager of Mahiki, had said: "'He was here all night. He was making his own cocktails."

Bolt had emerged from Mahiki with a group of female friends just after 3am, but the night was not over for the sportsman. Dressed in an all-white ensemble, Usain appeared to be in high spirits as he took centre stage with his signature 'archer' pose.
