With an internal battery fully powered, a device can be recharged in as little as an hour. On a sunless day, it can work like a conventional charger. Solio works with most mobile phones and electronic gadgets. However, it is not strong enough to charge more power-hungry devices like laptop computers.

Deltabit Oy, a Finnish company, has developed a biometric identification system that relies on fingerprints. The technology will be integrated into routine entrance control, customer management and personal identification systems. Deltabit?s managing director Juono Jarvio says, ?A mere finger is enough. Recognition is easy, quick, and reliable. You can?t lose a finger, nor can you lend it to a friend.?
