It’s official: The Google Pixel 10a is slated for preorder on February 18, moving away from the typical spring or summer debut of previous ‘A-series’ models.

This early arrival puts Google in direct competition with the flagship season, bringing in the Pixel 10a days ahead of Samsung’s expected Galaxy S26 announcement.

Based on the teaser video shared by Google, the Pixel 10a maintains the minimalist aesthetic introduced with the Pixel 9a. The most notable design shift is the rear camera housing. While previous Pixels featured a distinct “camera bar” or a raised pill-shaped bump, the Pixel 10a appears to have a completely flat, flush dual-camera system.

The device features two lenses inside a horizontal oblong cutout, accented by a single LED flash. In terms of aesthetics, a new powdery blue was showcased. Leaks from sources like Roland Quandt suggest four options: Obsidian, Berry, Fog, and Lavender.

The teaser hints at similarly-sized bezels to its predecessor and a centre-aligned hole-punch selfie camera.

The most significant technical detail could be the processor. While the flagship Pixel 10 uses the next-generation Tensor G5, CNET indicates the Pixel 10a will stick with a “boosted” version of the Tensor G4.

While Google has not officially announced the price, rumours suggest it will remain unchanged, that is, under 50,000 in India for the base model. Preorders open on February 18.
