Bhubaneswar: Police on Saturday arrested a 27-year-old youth on charges of trespassing into the Madhusudan Das Regional Academy of Financial Management and assaulting a trainee of the Odisha Finance Service (OFS)at Chandrasekharpur on Friday evening.
The arrested accused has been identified as Sanjit Ghosh.
The police said the accused managed to enter the premises in an inebriated condition and got into a verbal duel after the OFS trainee spotted him roaming around the campus.
"Later, he slapped the trainee officer and fled the spot. We managed to nab him in the early hours of Saturdday," said a police officer on condition of anonymity.
However, the incident has raised question marks about the security of the academy that functions under the state finance department.
A source close to the matter told The Telegraph that though security guards from a prinate agency have been engaged at the entrance, they do not verify the identity of outsiders who want to enter the premises properly before permitting them to enter the premises.
