The Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar, played host to 30 of its distinguished alumni for two days beginning Friday as it celebrated 30 years of its contribution to business, academics and society.
XIMB’s alumni are everywhere — from Axis Bank to Yes Bank, from information technology giants such as Microsoft to carmakers such as Skoda, from audit and consultancy majors such as Deloitte to steelmakers such as JSW.
XIMB, the flagship of Xavier University, said the summit aimed to bring together alumni from a wide range of industries and sectors to create an amalgamation of ideas that could make the next decade of the journey more exciting.
As the alumni interacted and swapped stories and experiences at the two-day Business Excellence Summit, XIMB hopes to gain valuable inputs for what it should be at 40.
XIMB said the 30-year milestone has been possible due to the collaborative efforts of the management, faculty, students, and the entire Xavier fraternity.
The two days were packed with leadership talks, panel discussions and interviews with alumni.
Among the alumni who turned up were Mrinalini Khusape of Skoda, Sunita Raut of IKEA, Ashok Dash of Microsoft, A.L. Jagannath of VM Ware, Ashish Kumar Pati of Care Hospitals, P.C. Joseph of Wells Fargo, Ayaskant Sarangi of Wipro, Siddharth Rath of Axis Bank, Simanta Mohanty, a consultant, Susanta Mishra of Placidvision, Rajnish Bhasin of Borges International Group, Nilanjan Roy of Cigna TTK, Vijay Sinha of JSW, Chittaranjan Mohanty of JP Morgan Chase, Lalit Desiraju of Capgemini, Sreeprakash Hota of HSBC, Sanjeev Ambasta of Piaggio, Chandrasekhar Chitrala of Catalyst IT Solutions, Subrat Sarangi, an academician, Ashok Singha of CTRAN Consulting, Om Prakash Agarwal of Plastend, Krishna KV of YES Bank, Debu Mishra of Deloitte and Vijay Sinha of JSW.
Inspired by the Jesuit spirit of ‘Magis’, or excellence, XIMB aims to be a premier institute globally recognised for management education, training, research and consulting.
