Baripada: A woman was gang-raped by four men aged between 25 and 30 at Tikayatpur Talashi in Mayurbhanj district on Saturday night.

They also videographed the incident and threatened the victim that they would make it viral if she complained.

Four persons are said to have barged into the house of the woman's foster father after breaking open the door and raped her. They also beat up her foster father. The 35-year-old woman is an anganwadi worker, and her husband works in Chennai.

The police have registered a case and began a probe with the help of a scientific team.

Baisinga police station inspector-in-charge Krushna Chandra Palai said the criminals were yet to be identified.

He said: "The woman was residing with her foster father, who had deserted his two wives earlier. Local people suspect he was in an illicit relationship with the woman."
