Representatives of the state government and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation  shake hands after signing of an MoU as chief minister Naveen Patnaik looks on in Bhubaneswar on Friday. 

The MoU intends to improve the lives of small holder farmers and promote inclusive transformation. Director of agriculture and food production Hariballav Mishra and director of agricultural development Nick Austin inked the pact on behalf of the state government and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, respectively.
