A prawn delicacy and a dessert prepared for a food festival in Bhubaneswar.
Bhubaneswar's Hotel Hindustan International recently celebrated Baisakhi, which marks the new crop harvesting season, with a food festival. Many communities also celebrate the dawn of the new year on this occasion and to celebrate with them, the hotel had organised a spread of authentic cuisine. The nine-day festival witnessed a spread that included mango sherbet, prawn cutlets, mutton curry and other culinary delights. According to a hotel official, "no celebration in India is complete without pampering the taste buds", and the food fest was an attempt to give them a taste of authentic food without burning a hole in their pockets.
