The Biju Patnaik Sports Awards were presented to many Odia sports personalities on the occasion of National Sports Day today. The awards for 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 were given to weightlifters K Ravi Kumar and Minati Sethi, first chess Grandmaster from Odisha - Debasis Das, rower Pratima Puhan. Awards for best coaches were given to Dronacharya awardee Jose Jacob, football coach Gangadhar Behera and gymnastic coach Ashok Mishra. Athletes Rachita Panda and Anuradha Biswal were also honoured. Biju Patnaik adventure, bravery awards and state youth awards were conferred on 37 other sports personalities.
