Bhubaneswar, April 11: Polling will be held again at 22 booths where the voting process was affected yesterday. Odisha’s chief electoral officer Mona Sharma said re-election would take place because the electronic voting machines were looted and burnt at some places and problems were detected in the voting machines at other places.

Voter turnout

Phulbani: Voter turnout in Kandhamal district has gone up by 11 per cent as compared to the 2009 elections. While only 62 per cent voters exercised their franchise in 2009, the current election recorded 73.15 per cent polling.

Traffic jam

Balasore: Town residents had a tough time dealing with traffic jam on Friday due to the visits of Sonia Gandhi and Narendra Modi on the same day.
