
Fiestatime
SAI International School celebrated its annual family fiesta 'Art from the Heart' on February 7. Saluting the spirit of togetherness that serves as a foundation to all family ties, SAI invited parents of Classes Playgroup to III to indulge in a work of art through paintings and collages.
The theme for this year's fiesta was 'Clean India, Green India'. More than 80 families participated in the event, making it a grand success. Families put up wonderful displays of both painting and collages that reflected their creative thinking and the spirit with which young students participated was overwhelming. Principal Harish Sanduja shared a heart-warming story with the families. He said: "As parents, it is our foremost duty to be a part of our child's life as it gives the child a sense of security and confidence. It helps in their wholesome and holistic development."
Cleanliness walk
Little ones at the Happy Hours School along with their parents took part in a cleanliness awareness walk. Holding placards with slogans of cleanliness, the students distributed leaflets carrying messages of the importance of clean and hygienic surroundings.
Movie making
The students of DAV Public School, Pokhariput, have made four short films on various subjects.
These films will be send to the National Children's Film Festival.
The films, which are of 60-minute duration, are based on popular sciences and intend to communicate and develop scientific temper among the student community. The festival is being organised by the Vigyan Prasar along with the National Council of Science Museums.
Annual day
The 64th annual day of Capital High School was celebrated on February 6. School and mass education minister Debi Prasad Mishra attended the function and distributed awards to students who had excelled in various competitions round the year. Students presented cultural events to mark the occasion and the audience was left spellbound.
