Cuttack: Tickets for the India-Sri Lanka T20 match at Barabati Stadium on December 20 will be available from stadium for two days from December 16, according to the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA).

An OCA official said 9,310 tickets for the match were made available online from November 20 and those were sold out within three days. The OCA has printed 44,490 tickets, including complimentary passes, for the 45,000-capacity stadium.

Of those, 22,000 have been allocated for the public, while the rest will be made available through affiliated bodies of the OCA and the BCCI and complimentary passes.

OCA working committee chairman Dhiren Pallai said: "12,690 tickets will be available from the counters." "While distribution of tickets through the OCA and the BCCI affiliated bodies will be done on December 14 and 15, tickets will be sold through Barabati Stadium counters on December 16 and 17," he said.

Tickets for gallery Nos. 1 and 3 are priced at Rs 600 each, while those for gallery Nos. 2 and 4 will cost Rs 500. Tickets for gallery Nos. 6 and 7 are the cheapest at Rs 400 each.

Tickets for special enclosures are priced at Rs 3,000 while a place in the corporate gallery is priced at Rs 8,000. Similarly, a ticket in the AC box in gallery No. 4 and new pavilion would cost Rs 5,000.

The OCA has insured the ground and other properties of Barabati Stadium along with spectators for the match for Rs 20 crore.

"We have inked a deal with National Insurance Company by paying the required one-time premium of Rs 13 lakh," Palai said.

Giving a break-up of the insurance components, Palai said the stadium would be insured for Rs 8 crore under standard fire and peril policy, while the spectators and visitors will be covered under public liability insurance of Rs 7 crore.

The remaining Rs 5 crore would be towards special contingency insurance policy coverage also including stadium furniture and infrastructure, he said.

"Insuring the match is primarily aimed to minimise loss in case of a washout because of inclement weather conditions or any other calamity."
