CBSE holds training for teachers

Teachers’ workshop

The OP Jindal School, Angul, conducted a two-day CBSE-sponsored capacity building programme focussed on the role of teachers in classroom management and skill development in Bhubaneswar recently. A presentation on teachers’ orientation by KIIT International School, Bhubaneswar, principal Sanjay Kumar Suar and Sai International School, Bhubaneswar, vice-principal Nilkantha Panigrahi was appreciated by those taking part. About 41 teachers from different schools took part and made presentations.
 
Summer camp

The Apeejay School, Bhubaneswar, organised a 12-day summer camp from May 2. The event was filled with fun and frolic and witnessed 120 students from classes I to VIII indulging in a variety of activities. The event offered activities such as yoga, aerobics, football, swimming, and games with geo-boards and rubber bands, and magic experiments. The highlight of the workshop was the swimming pool that afforded relief to the children in the sweltering heat.

Cycle yatra

Odisha-born teen Maharshi Sanket, 15, has vowed to campaign against bullying and sexual abuse in schools by cycling from Bangalore to Mumbai. Having witnessed the impact of bullying on children, the suffocation and helplessness they experience from close quarters, the Class-X student felt the need to speak out. Renowned artists, social catalysts and citizens have joined hands with him. 

Recreational events

The sixth recreation summer camp organised by the Jindal Bal Bhavan in Angul concluded with chief guest and Jindal Mahila Samiti president Anjali Mishra explaining the importance of such camps in a student’s life and its utility to hone the inner will and potential of a student to achieve their dreams. Around 100 students from various schools took part in the camp. Principal Chhanda Charan Das was present to embolden the spirit of the students.

Flying colours

The Sri Aurobindo Purnanga Shiksha Kendra in Nabarangpur registered 100 per cent result in this year’s High School Certificate examination with all 73 students successfully passing the exam. Five students secured A2 grade, 43 B1, 22 B2, two C and one D grade. Principal Raj Kishor Mohanty and managing committee secretary Pralliva Swain, along with other staff members, congratulated the successful students.
