Berhampur, June 10: Five persons were arrested for selling SIM cards without obtaining address proofs in Berhampur. The accused are Amiya Kumar Bhuyan, Danda Patra, Prabhat Tripathi, K Durga Prasad Patra and Siba Shankar Patra. The police also seized 1,000 SIM cards from them. Five cases, including two each at Town and Bada Bazar police stations and one at BNPur police station, have been registered against the accused, said sub-divisional police officer Shantanu Kumar Das.
