One of the most posh localities in Bhubaneswar faces a slew of infrastructure-related problems. The population of Saheed Nagar — dotted with swanky malls, hotels and business establishments — has taken a quantum leap from 5000 in the 60s to 30000 at present. Home to retired bureaucrats, politicians and prominent businessmen, at least 20000 people visit the locality everyday. The area was initially designed for residential purpose but the gradual conversion into commercial area has created the problem. The corporation has been doing its best to provide amenities to the residents and even constructed a number of internal roads.
