Sambalpur, May 21: Two unidentified men today robbed Rs 25 lakh at gun point from the employees of a transport company at Budhipadar, around 50km from here.
Three staff members of the Ardhanareswar transport company of Bandhbahal in Jhasuguda district withdrew Rs 25 lakh from the Punjab National Bank at Mangalbazar around 1.30pm today.
After withdrawing the cash, they put the money in a bag and headed to their office in a car.
On the way, two bike-borne goons chased them and intercepted them near Budihipadar on the National Highway-49.
They broke the glass of the car's widow and intimidated the three transport company employees with a gun before snatching the bag full of cash from them.
"We have sealed the borders of the district. The miscreants will be arrested shortly," said inspector in charge of Jharsuguda police station Khira Sagar Naik.
