Bhubaneswar, May 26: Forms have been made available on the Ravenshaw University website (www.ravenshawuniversity.ac.in) for admission into various undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes for this year.
The university offers 26 undergraduate courses, including five self-financing, across humanities, science and commerce streams. Candidates are required to fill in the online forms within a fortnight of announcement of Plus Two results, the likely date for which is May 29.
A fee of Rs 180 is to be submitted in the form of demand draft or bank challan before submitting the form online. Options for online payment – Internet banking, debit card or cash transfer – are also available. The print out of the filled-in form along with copies of relevant marksheets and documents must be delivered to the university within four days from the last date of online submission.
Candidates wishing to apply for more than one course will have to fill a separate online application form with the requisite application fee for each subject. The printout of application form along with photocopies of the required documents must also be submitted separately.
“Applicants must provide a valid email address because all communication with the university would be done through email. Submission of incorrect information may lead to cancellation of admission and make the candidate liable for criminal proceedings,” said university officials, adding that the entrance test would be conducted in mid-June.
Online application for the postgraduate courses ends on May 30 while the last date for submission of the printout of forms is June 4. This year, the varsity has introduced three new courses — Sanskrit (32 seats), statistics (24 seats) and international studies (36 seats). Students holding a degree in natural science and commerce are also eligible to apply for postgraduate programmes in humanities.
The university has decided to conduct the entrance examination for all the 28 postgraduate courses between June 20 and 23.
The academic session for all courses is slated to begin from July 1. The varsity also plans to launch a certificate programme in communicative English initially with a batch of 35 students. The deadline for applying for M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes is July 1.
