Bhubaneswar: Rail movement was affected between Cuttack and Paradip after a goods train derailed between Goraknath and Raghunathpur early on Friday.

The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has ordered a probe into the incident.

Railway officials said the incident took place when the coal-laden train was heading for Bandhadihi in Bengal.

Fourteen loaded wagons derailed on the down line but no one was injured.

"Restoration of affected line is expected by Saturday. Relief trains were rushed from Bhadrak, Khurda Road and Sambalpur. Out of the 14 wagons, 12 are in tilted position and cranes have been deployed to lift those," said an ECoR press statement.

Several senior officials, including DRM, Khurda Road division, Braj Mohan Agarwal had rushed to the spot. ECoR general manager Umesh Singh said the inquiry committee will be led by the chief safety officer.
