Managing director Soubhagya Samal and director Nirupama Samal had been absconding since 2013 after police registered complaints against the Ponzi firm.

A CBI official said the duo were arrested from Vadodara in Gujarat. "The accused will be produced in court in Gujarat and brought on transit remand for further investigation," he said.

Sources said Soubhagya Samal set up the company in 2009. The firm has branches in Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Assam, Karnataka and Maharashtra.
