
Bhubaneswar: The first selection list for admissions into various Plus Two courses of the state was published on Friday with the cut-off marks decreasing in almost all the three streams in comparison to last year.
Ravenshaw Higher Secondary School, Cuttack, has topped the cut-off list in science stream with a cut-off mark of 88.83 per cent.
Last year, the college had emerged as the most sought after college with the highest cut-off percentage of 93.17 per cent in the science stream.
BJB Higher Secondary School in Bhubaneswar was second with 88.33 per cent while Berhampur-based Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Neelakantha Nagar, was the third-most sought after college in the state with 88 per cent.
Patia Paban Higher Secondary School, Ghasipura, has the highest cut-off mark of 78.67 per cent in Arts stream. Last year, the cut-off mark was 79.19 percent.
Buxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar Higher Secondary School, Bhubaneswar, is at the top of cut-off list in commerce stream with 78.2 per cent. The college that had maintained its dominance over other colleges had a cut-off of 83.6 per cent last year.
Dhruba Charan Sanskrit Higher Secondary School, Baliapal, maintained the cut-off mark at 68.5 per cent while Government Vocational Higher Secondary School, Balakati, has the highest cut-off mark of 85 per cent in vocational stream.
The first phase admission will be conducted between July 2 and July 5.
The second cut-off list will be declared on July 10 and the admission will be held from July 11 to July 12. The classes are slated to begin from July 24. Altogether, 5,90,363 students had appeared the High School Certificate Examinations in 2818 exam centres between February 23 and March 8.The results were announced on May 7.
The cut-off marks have been uploaded on www.dheodisha.gov.in. Students can check the status of their application through SMS, e-mail or they can call up the helpline number.
