Bhubaneswar, Jan. 2: The process of filling up Plus Two board exam forms online began in the state today. The process will continue till January 8.

The form fill-up process is usually completed by November every year. This time, it was delayed because of a ceasework by employees of the Council of Higher Secondary Education, who demanded a free hand to carry out the form fill-up process.

Last year, the work had been outsourced to the Odisha Computer Application Centre (OCAC). But this time, the council is monitoring the entire process with the technical expertise of the OCAC officials.

“Around 2.52 lakh students across all streams have registered themselves for the board exams. However, document verification of nearly 5,000 students is pending. We have informed the college authorities concerned and it will be done within this week,” council chairman Tusharkanti Tripathy said.

Students are required to write details in a designated form at their respective colleges and deposit the requisite fees at the college cash counter. The examination fee ranges between Rs 520 and Rs 600 depending on the number of practical subjects that a student opts for.

The colleges will have to upload the information online at their level between January 2 and 8. They are also required to include the grades awarded to students in subjects such as environmental education, yoga and basic computer education.

Students who miss the form fill-up deadline can register again between January 10 and 12 along with a fine amount of Rs 50 or between January 16 and 18 by paying an additional amount of Rs 350.

Council officials said there were stray cases of discrepancies in the information furnished in application forms submitted by students and the details uploaded on the websites.

“The photographs of a few students have got mixed up. But, we are rectifying it. There is no major trouble otherwise,” said controller of examinations Jasobanta Behera.
