Bhubaneswar, May 20: Admissions to Plus Two classes for 2014-15 will commence on May 26. Both online and offline application forms will be made available from this year.

The online common application forms will be available on the higher education department’s website www.dheorissa.in from May 26.

However, students will also be able to collect hard copies of the application forms from the nearest Students Academic Management System resource centres, the list of which will also be made available on the department website, for manual submission.

The last date for applying online is June 9, while the date is June 10 for offline form submission.

The admission process will cover five stages — first round of selection, second round of selection, scheduled castes and scheduled tribes extension selection, spot selection for balance seats and supplementary admission.

The first selection list will be available on the website on June 18 and admission of the applicants will be done between June 24 and June 27. The second selection list will be published on July 2 and admission of these students will be done between July 5 and July 7. Around 522 Students’ Academic Management System resource centres have been formed across the state.

The ST/SC seat extension selection list will be published on July 9 and admission of students under this category will start from July 10.

Balance seats will be published on July 11, to which registrations and admissions will be made on July 14 and July 16 respectively.

Classes for the first-year students will begin on July 17 and admission of students who passed through supplementary or instant exam will be completed within 20 days from the date of result publication. The online admission system was first introduced in the state in 2009 for 60 junior colleges. It has now been extended to all 1,352 juniors and 657-degree colleges.

The higher education department authorities have planned to include Sanskrit colleges into the fold of the e-admission system from next academic year. There are about 100 Sanskrit colleges in the state.

Similarly, admissions to degree colleges will begin on June 7. Students can apply online or offline till June 21.

The first selection list will be out on July 1, while the second selection list will be out on July 15.

Admissions to SC/ST seats will be made on July 24, while admission for the balance sheets will take place on July 30. Classes for all degree colleges will begin on July 31. Admission for students passed in supplementary exam will be done within 20 days from the date of result publication.
