Bhubaneswar, Aug. 4: Film fanatics will get to hear some good news at last. The shooting of the much-awaited film Sangam, which was announced two years ago, has finally been completed. Directed and produced by Jatin Kumar Agarwal, the multi-starrer film is undergoing its post-production phase in Mumbai.

“The film is a confluence of the Oriya and Mumbai film industries. I have tried to explore the Oriya film scene and found that there is abundance of talent here,” says the Mumbai based producer and filmmaker.

Sangam is a romantic drama shot in the scenic locations of Khandala and Goa.

Actors Siddhant Mohapatra, Buddhaditya, Akash and the pretty Mumbai based Oriya girl Jyoti Pani will be seen in the movie.

“I have been doing few modelling assignments in Mumbai however this was my first experience working for a feature film,” says Jyoti.

“It was a wonderful experience working with Jatin and amazing actors like Bijay Mohanty and Sidhant. I think the best part is that since we worked for so long on this project, the viewers will definitely find the final product to be exclusive and flawless,” she adds.

Veteran screenplay writers Bijoy Mishra and Abhijit Ghatwari from Bollywood have teamed up for Sangam’s script and dialogue. Harprit from Mumbai is the music composer while ace cinematographer Nitin has panned the camera.

Action director Hanif whose stunts rocked the screen in Hindi films like Ghulam and Munna Bhai series has directed the fight sequences in the film.

Last but not the least, the film also stars the vivacious Manini Mishra. The actor from various Hindi television shows and mega serials like Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin, Maniben dot com and movies like Krissh, is playing a lawyer in the film.

“There are elements of suspense and thrill in the movie that will surely attract the Oriya film goers. Moreover, Bijay Mohanty and Manini are playing deft lawyers competing with each other to save their clients. Their stint will surely be admired by the audience,” explains Agarwal.

Shot in the east and west coasts of the country, the film promises wholesome entertainment to the Oriya audience.

“The film was not made in a hurry like it’s happening in the Oriya industry these days. We took time to give our best and I’m sure we will provide full enjoyment to the audience,” believes Buddhaditya.

“The film would be released in a couple of months,” says Agarwal.
