Bhubaneswar, March 15: The Orissa Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) Committee has extended the last dates for sale and receipt of application forms for JEE 2011.

The last date for applying online, which was introduced this year, has been extended from March 15 to March 20. JEE aspirants have to download the online forms at www.odishajee.com and attach a demand draft of Rs 550 to send in their applications to the OJEE Cell at Gandamunda by March 25.

Similarly, sale of application forms at the counter began on February 25 and the last date has been rescheduled from March 18 to March 23. The last date for receiving forms is now March 25 instead of March 21.

“The dates were extended for three reasons. First, the results of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) will be out today. After getting their scores, students will be able to decide about filling up of forms,” said Sitaram Mohapatra, vice-president of the OJEE Committee.

“We also want to accommodate more Plus Two students who are taking their board examinations now and allow more time for outstation candidates to fill up the forms. As of now, we have received more than 75,000 forms, including about 5,000 online registrations,” he added.

The forms are being sold at various nationalised banks and the JEE Cell. They are also available at GPOs of other cities such as Calcutta, Ranchi, Raipur, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Bangalore.

The examinations are scheduled for May 1 and May 8. For the first time, OJEE will conduct entrance examinations for post- graduation diploma in management and computer management.
