Berhampur: Goons shot dead a worker of the Biju Janata Dal at Udaypur of Ganjam district on Sunday. Dinabandhu Pradhan, 52, died on the spot when the goons shot him. “He was shot on the chest and stomach while returning from a temple,” said Jyoti Prakash Panda, inspector in-charge of Buguda police station. A complaint has been lodged in this regard at the police station. Paradip: A 13-year-old girl student, a close relative of Jagatsinghpur MP Bibhu Prasad Tarai, was allegedly kidnapped from Mangarajpur village. The incident had occurred in the evening of November 18. Police has started investigating into it. “As the victim is a close relative of MP Tarai and her father was a trade unionist, we are also considering any possible conspiracy by rival factions,” said Kujang police station inspector Gupteswar Bhoi.
